For those of us who see our final goal weight an unsurmountable task, then why not think of your weight loss one pound at a time. Maybe set an initial 5%, then set another target of 5% below that. This may help you to break the task down into bitesize pieces. Here is my initial 5% from my initial current weight of 14st 2. My initial aim is to get down to 13st 4lbs, which will be my 5% target.

One of those days where I am feeling like I have gained about 10 stone. I feel awful even though I am having a good day. I hope I can get rid of this feeling soon as it's having a horrible effect on my self esteem - and when my self esteem is dented, that's when the eating begins. Argh. I am SO nervous for Thursday morning's weigh in - I simply cannot gain another pound, I just can't. I am trying hard but I am struggling emotionally. My eating is not the issue today, but I am fighting a losing battle inside.
Groan. Despite my best efforts this week 1.5lbs gain. But time of the month is upon me and it always goes haywire in the 4th week. Hopefully it will come off quite quickly but i only have 5 days to do it before my next weigh in. Oh well. At least I know. See you on Thursday guys for a decent result on the scales. I cannot go any higher than what I am now.
I won't have much time to pull things back but I'm hoping for around a 1lb loss each week in April (which is already doomed!). I could have done with the support of class today but it turned out that it was a drop in meeting and therefore would have had to wait an hour for the talk to start; time unfortunately which I did not have this morning.
I will be back to normal next week at my normal meeting but it was a testament as to how important the meetings are to get you back on track with the motivation of others. I have missed it.
True NSV - because I have been drinking more than 2 ltrs of water a day, I have not had as much fluid retention or PMS like I usually would at this time of the month, so I feel so much better and not as hungry. Just pushing hard on my water intake has really benefited me.
Short blog today but I have hit a bump in the road and really trying to get myself motivated. Can anyone else relate to that?
Current Weight: 13st 9lbs
Weight loss so far: 21lbs
Weight loss target: 72 lbs
Weight loss to go: 51 lbs
Not much I can say really. Gutted that I gained so much this week. It's not as if I have had such a bad week that would explain such a seismic shift on the Weight Watchers scales. I nearly did burst into tears there and then, but I have such fantastic friends in my meeting that I didn't have the chance to do so, because someone had made me laugh almost before I got off the scales. All I can do is go onwards and upwards (or downwards) and plan plan plan!
Challenge accepted - 20lbs in 20 weeks. Let's see if I can do this. New month....new me.
Mini goal: 5% by Easter (April 2017)
Start Weight: 15st 2lbs
Current Weight: 13st 6lbs
Weight loss so far: 24lbs
Weight loss target: 72 lbs
Weight loss to go: 48 lbs
1.5lbs ON! Getting a tiny bit fed up of going up and down for the last six months. Where is my motivation people?! I need to 'remember my why'. Why did I decide to lose weight and try and become healthier. I think this will be the only way that I get over this and move forward.
I have decided to give myself 5% mini goals until my final goal weight. Next target is 12st 12lbs. Wish me luck.
So it is 6 days into 2017.
All of us Weight Watchers have meandered into our respective WW meetings up and down the land sheepishly trying to avoid eye contact with the leader.
There is nothing more to it.....we have to face the music after the pig out of Christmas.
I must say I was dreading the scales when I got back to my meeting this week. I even toyed with the idea of asking my lovely leader to cover the display so I wouldn't see what it was.
As it turned out, I was very surprised to learn that I had only gained 1.5lb over the two week period since before the big day. That my lovely friends, shows the power of facing the music. It is better to face it head on and to know exactly what you are dealing with.
This really motivated me to face 2017 with renewed positivity with healthy eating, and to give myself new aims for the year ahead. This year we have two big aims, my friend's 40th and a trip to Australia at the end of the year. It gives me around 8-9 months to really do the plan to the letter and to be proud of my achievements.
My aim for this year is to give myself 5% targets, so the first aim is to get to get myself from 13.8 to 12.12 in the space of about two months. I will not look further than that, otherwise I will get too overwhelmed and give up.
Good luck with your weight loss journeys this year people, and share them here on Welsh Weight Watcher. Remember to share on social media using the hashtag #welshweightwatcher.
Here's to a healthy (and lighter!) 2017 :)
So it is the end of 2016.
How do you feel about your weight loss journey this year? Are you disappointed with the way it's gone, or are you ecstatic after reaching your goal weight? However you think this year has gone, this is the opportunity to start a fresh new approach to your weight loss journey, be it with Weight Watchers or on your own.
If you live in or around Cardiff, I highly recommend the Heath Park meeting on a Thursday at 9.30am. We are labelled 'the nutty class' but you would not find any class that is more welcoming. Everyone that has come to this class has credited it for changing their lives for the better. We start back on the 5th of January.
Personally, my weight loss journey of 2016 has been mostly up (in pounds!) or staying the same, especially in the last six months. However, I fully intend to embrace the Weight Watchers (TM) plan in 2017 and I hope that my followers are able to help me along with my journey.
If you are new to weight loss, and live in the South Wales area, reach out to me and I can guide you into the first scary week of being a Weight Watcher, and introduce you to my lovely leader Tracey. See you in 2017!

Stayed the same this week - I've never been so relieved! Now to build on that and make sure that it doesn't catch up next week! I have a wedding this weekend, and my commitment to myself by Christmas is to lose 10lb. I will do that by planning more of my week and also make a bit of an effort to be more on track when life throws me a curveball!
What is your commitment to yourself? What goal would you like to see yourself at in 10 weeks time? Comment below :)
